3 Ways Coffee Drinking Can Impact Your Health
Many people simply do not drink caffeinated coffee because of their fear of negative health effects. The reality is that there are some new studies that are proving the health benefits of coffee with regard to some illnesses and diseases. Of course, there are people who happily drink plenty of coffee in an attempt to stay more alert, feel more energized and keep them going for longer. Despite this positive research there are indeed some negative effects to drinking excessive amounts. We will discuss here only a few of the most widely known effects that excessive coffee can have on your system.

Anybody that drinks two or more cups of coffee every day, might be at a higher risk to develop osteoporosis. Research used with about one thousand women explained that drinking a lot of coffee can stop the body's ability to absorb some of the needed vitamins and minerals from the diet. This can cause the body to get osteoporosis, which is a large reduction of bone density that is usually linked to elderly patients. Yet, some people who drink a lot of coffee have been found to have a reduction in bond density. Of course, there of other factors in the lifestyle that could account for the early onset of osteoporosis. These things consist of smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and using hormones. The research also pointed out that a little bit of the bad effects of drinking too much coffee can be reduced if you just put milk in your coffee.

Other studies have linked drinking coffee to lower risks of being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Some studies show that drinking two cups of coffee daily can reduce the risk of developing diabetes by as much as 50%. Many believe that coffee works to decrease sensitivity to insulin.

The other end of the scale though is that some people develop a condition called hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) as a result. Unpleasant symptoms like weakness, clammy skin, heart palpitations, and sweating are common with hypoglycemia. If you have hypoglycemia, you would be best served by abstaining from coffee completely.

It has been found that both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee have a light laxative effect that can stop constipation. Due to the laxative effect, it's thought that drinking coffee can help reduce the risk of developing colon cancer. However, people that drink a lot coffee also have loose bowel movements. If this is true, then adjusting the amount of coffee that you drink will help to change this.

In conclusion, it seems there may be some beneficial health effects of drinking a moderate amount of coffee. But, those people that are into drinking a lot of coffee should take note that there are bad health effects that could rise out of taking in too much caffeine. Moderation is the main ingredient to achieving a healthy balance.
